you need to enable the port COM7 in the Start > Configurations > BTSerialPortSetup menu _________________ Lutz

If that still doesn't work perform the stps that are described in the CoPilot Smartphone review
1. Remote any previous bonds you've made with your Bluetooth GPS Receiver.
..1. Press START | SETTINGS | BLUETOOTH | BLUETOOTH
..2. Press MENU | BONDED DEVICES. Select the bond(s) and press MENU | DELETE
..3. Exit out of this screen by pressing done.
2. Configure your Bluetooth Serial COM Port
..1. Press START | CONFIGURATION | BTSERIALPORTSETUP
..2. Check the box next to OUTBOUND COM PORT. Usually COM7.
....If already checked, uncheck it and press DONE, then start step 2 again.
..3. Press DONE.
3. Turn Bluetooth On
..1. Press START | SETTINGS | BLUETOOTH. Set it to ON.
4. Create a bond with your Bluetooth GPS.
..1. Turn on your Bluetooth GPS Receiver.
..2. Press START | SETTINGS | BLUETOOTH
..3. Press MENU | BONDED DEVICES
..4. Press MENU | NEW (Search for available devices)
..5. On DISCOVERED DEVICES it may take two minutes to find your GPS
..6. When BT GPS ****** appears in the list, press ADD
..7. Enter the passkey, e.g. 0183 or 0000 (are the most common)
..8. Name the device, then press DONE.
After ALL of this is done you can the finally start the program and configure the GPS. _________________ Lutz

Hello and Help! Firstly, nice website, bookmarked it in an instance.
Secondly, I’m turning a bit blue in the tooth over my new gps and software compatibility.
I have Microsoft Pocket Streets on my SPV c500 and have bought a BT GPS receiver (Aktronix, NMEA 0183 v3.01). I have followed the advice given here to the t
http://pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=14558
and unbonded and rebonded the GPS and have no other BT devices bonded. I have entered a passkey (0183 didn’t work but 0000 did) etc yet when I ‘Start GPS’ in pocket streets it searches and searches and searches until failure. The GPS flashes as if a connection has been made (once a second).
I’m sorry if you’ve heard all this before but I haven’t seen my girlfriend in 3 days trying to figure this out. Please help!
Yours, soon to be single. |
