Please can someone help. I 'm trying to install TT3 navigator on my new
' my guide navigator 6500xl' which I purchased from Lidl but having problems.
When I installed CD1 to install TT3 which went fine but When I install the CD2 of Maps, the following error occurs: "Your pc does not support the devices for which there are applications in this package. Please install the supporting software first and run setup again. Setup will end now". My microsoft ActiveSync is updated. I couldnt run TT3 without the maps required. I use 2000 on my desktop PC but even tried XP on my laptop but no luck.
What did I do wrong? Shall I remove Falk firstly before installing TT3?
Your assistance with instructions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much. |

I don't have a production CD of TTN3 because we usually get the pre-production ones, but TTN3 I believe is only on 1 CD so why do you have 2 ? I may be wrong here, but my pre-production CD has the UK maps and installer on the 1st CD.
You may be getting an error on install because maybe Falk came pre-installed ? If this is the case then you probably haven't installed Microsoft ActiveSync which would have (or should have) come with the Aldi/Lidl bundle. This allows you to connect the Pocket PC to the PC and transfer files using ActiveSync. TomTom will require this as will any other application, so install this first. If you don't have ActiveSync or have lost the CD, you can download it from our downloads section. |

Thanks for your replies promptly.
Yeah, I found out the cds are faulty so got a proper software from my mate. So far it seems genuine and working fine...But got one problem..
I need to delete Falk software first to free up spaces on my memory storage card in order to be able to install TT3 maps ( it requires 100mb but mine has got abt 66mb free available at the mo because Falk maps took the rest of memory)
So when I try deleting Falk from my memory storage card but access denied cos of sharing voliation something like that. I have even tried resetting it and tried to delete it but no luck. It's very stubborn and won't be deleted.
Any ideas how to remove it for good?!...It's doing me head in....
I'd appreciate it if you could direct me how to delete it please.
Thanks and Merry Xmas |

Do a soft reset, and then remove the Route66 porgram via Start >Settings > System > Remove Programs
After that you can also remove the maps _________________ Lutz

Soft and Hard reset..what's the difference? as far as I know, there's only one reset button...
Route 66 program....I dont have it...no programs on 'Remove programs' at all which is fine. All I want is to delete Falk from the memory storage..
Any other tips would be great.
Thanks for your help by the way |

There's two CDs in the latest TomTom Navigator 3 packs - those with a sticker on the front about Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition.
One CD is the same Navigator 3 CD familiar to all the Team and Moderators. The other is an Update CD, which contains Navigator 3.07 and GPS 3.07. The instructions on the back of the Update CD envelope tell you to install the software from the Update CD, and the maps from the other CD or CDs.
