|
|
Hi All
Just got my new 650 last week and very pleased with it...but I think there is a small problem:
When in 2D map mode the map does not scroll ie move with the arrow in the center. The arrow moves and when it reaches the edge oif the screen just disappears off the side of the map.
All other info is updated ie voice commands, distance to go etc except the map does not move. 3D view works fine.
Is this a bug or a feature?
Thanks, A |

Hit the page button as you are probably on map view rather than navigation view. Failing that there is an option in the menu to keep position on screen and this may be unticked. |

Thanks Dave, I go to the 2D by pushing the page button whcih cycles thru the various screens. Thus I assumed the view mode would still be nav. As for the menu option, I will check tonight.
Thank you for your response, Alan |

Hi Dave
Have been thru all the menus and settings and cannot find any mention of a scrolling option. The only thing even close is the auto zoom option, and this is enabled.
I have also been thru the manual and can find no mention of the option to which you refer.
Can you please be more specifc as to where I can find this option or is it possible that you have this opotion on an earlier mdel.
Thanks, Alan |

Hi kiwi
I'm only running v2 on a 630, but I had the same thing happen to me when I first got it.
Turned out I was in manual mode - I think the screen briefly said "MANUAL" at the bottom. This is the mode where you can hit OK to store the cursor point as a FAV, or navigate to it. I think hitting ESC gets you back to moving map.
You can DEFINATELY have a moving 2D map in v2 - even a zoomed one, which I don't seem to be able to do with 3D for more than a few secs...
Hope this helps

Hi Gav
Finally I got around to testing your theory and you are right. It was in manual mode, pressed esc and all is well.
thanks for your help
