Is there a limit on the number of POI categories or actual POI's that can be created in TTN3?
I have just started to get an error message when starting TTN3 saying "Too many POI files: loading aborted". TTN3 then opens OK and all the POI's I have set up seem to be there but I have lost the ability to add any new categories.
I have had the numerous 'code search' POi's installed for some time with no previous problems and this has only ocurred after I installed POI-Warner. Is this coincidence? |

Coincidence - there is a limit, though it's high in recent software versions (I think something like 100 or 128 POI categories).
The only way to rid yourself of the error is to delete one or more POI categories.

I too keep getting the message about too many POIs after inadvertantly downloading too many files from Checkpoint.
Your reply said to delete some POI categories, how do I do this as I cannot see where they are stored in TomTom and there does not seem to be a method to do it in Properties/POI? |

What do you mean 'deleted a few POI's'?
I can only see how to stop TomTom monitoring them, how can I deletye them as this may solve my problem |

Using a file explorer program (such as the one built in to Pocket PC) or ActiveSync's Explore feature (select My Pocket PC first) go into your map folder, and delete the unwanted POIs. Each POI has a .ov2 file and a corresponding .bmp file.

Hmmm...
I looked at the CheckPOInt FAQ's and find:

(Maybee CP dont have updated the web-site after TT ver 3 !?) _________________ Gunnar Nystul, Forum Admin, TomTom Forum Norway and Nystul Navigasjon |
