Hi all. I am in the US, Los Angeles to be exact, and am looking to get a self-contained, super portable GPS unit. I recently tried a Navman iCN-510 for a couple weeks, and while there were many things to love, its address-searching capability came up short way too often. I was told on these (great!) forums that this is due to the TeleAtlas maps. This then eliminates the Navman and TomTom products, so I am looking into the Mio 168.
Mainly I am trying to decide between getting a base system with Mio Map (Destinator), or a system bundled with CoPilot. So, several questions:
1) Destinator seems somewhat reviled here, but in the review here it is commended for its ability to find addresses. Could someone with experience with both programs say how they feel CoPilot 5 is superior? The TTS directions sounds quite nice.
2) So far the only Mio/CoPilot bundle I've found in the US is the Evesham, but I think this only comes with CoPilot 4. Do any US retailers offer a Mio/CoPilot 5 bundle?
3) Is it indeed true that TomTom will have the same address-finding problems as SmartST 3 because of the TeleAtlas maps? If not, does anyone know any US retailers that bundle a Mio 168 with TT3 US?
4) I'm also interested in the traffic feature of CoPilot. Since the Mio does not have bluetooth, is there still a way to hook up my GPRS phone to it and use this feature?
