hii all
iam a bit new at this but may be someone can help
my tom tom works great but is a bit slow whwn i try to navigate to an address it takes 3-4 mins to find it , is this right,
also i have loaded the tom tom programme in to the ipaq main memmory
not on to the sd card is thet right or can i load all progamme & mpas to the sd card
hope someone can help

It could be the SD Card causing the problem. Some SD cards are very slow on address lookup. I had that problem and moved the maps to my CF card and now it flies... I think V3.07 of TomTom does improve things, but first I'd try a different SD card if you can. |

Thanks for the help i tried a diffrent sd card & the problem is solved
how can i tell the speed of the sd card or is their a special make i should use the slow card is a 256 mb sandisk

Sandisk are notoriously bad for use with TomTom and a 2210. I have one in my digital camera and it works fine, but use it in the PDA and it's slooooow. Most others are fine - there are lots of threads on this forum about what cards to use and what to avoid - do a bit of searching and you'll find some good answers. |
