My H2210 no longer charges on cradle:-( The only possibility I can think of was that when I put it in the Seidio G2500, I wrongly connected the cig charging cable to the DC/Out rather than Power In (they are so close to each other). Could that damage the charging circuit of H2210?
Thanks,

yes, the Seidio power cable supplies 12V which can easily backfire and fry the charging circuit. This was one of the critical items I had on my review for the Seidio mount.

Does the iPAQ charge from the native HP power supply?

Many thanks Lutz (even though it's bad news:-(.

The Ipaq no longer charges on the HP cradle or from the charger with the "usb" adaptor (no more yellow indicators). If I take the battery out and put in the spare battery charger part of the cradle, the battery charges (the aux yellow flashes). So looks like the battery is good but not the charging circuit in the IPAQ. Can this be repaired?

Will this have damaged the G2500's circuit as well?

"repair" usually translates to "throw away and exchange" for this kind of problem. Is the device still under warranty?

The charge circuit is part of the 2210's mainboard and so won't be a cheap repair but it's possible. If under warranty you should be ok, if not there are outlets that will repair, PPCTechs, iPAQRepair etc, where are you located?

Many thanks, Lutz and Darren. I have the H2210 exchanged (it's only two weeks old).

Now bitten once, I am a little worried to use the mount. Just to confirm (the mount did not come with an instruction):
i) I could use the top RJ11 socket to power my TomTom BT GPS (using the cable that comes with the GPS)?
ii) If I block the DC-OUT hole as a precaution (so that I would not be accidentally confused again), the mount should pose danger no more?

Thanks again
John.
