What to buy...?

Maybe some people can help me here... My dad has a GPS and now I kind of want one I'm looking around and trying to find which would be the best for me, but I'd like some opinions...

Right now, I'm kinda stuck between the Garmin eTrex Legend and the Lowrance iFinder Basic. My friend had an extrex and it seemd quite good, but this iFinder seems promising too... What's really bothering me is I don't know how easy it would be to get maps for the iFinder. I really liked how it had an SD slot, but if I can't get maps without their specific software, is it worth it? What about the etrex? Does the $169 come with their software?

Another thing to consider is my PDA. I have an Axim X5, so I could use a Compact Flash GPS. Only problem is I'd like better battery life and preferably a water proof one.

Anyway, I'm looking for GPSs for less than $200. Ideas?
