Driving along with POI notifications enabled, no poi's appear on the map, the occasional warning is given. When stopped. [at traffic lights for instance] all selected POI's appear on map. they disappear when I resume driving. I was wondering if this is correct as there seems to be no mention of this in the hidden manual on the CD? _________________ -------------------

Ahm... what you experience is simply poor performance. The icons take a while to draw, but in the meantime the map has already moved on, so the icons need to be redrawn but take a while... etc.
Make sure no other programs are running in the background. _________________ Lutz

Ta Lutz, I will eventually get this cp5 sorted I hope, I have just ordered Navigon and am eagerly awaiting its arrival from Germany, there just seems to be too much amisss with cp5 I am very disappointed both with the program and with ALK support IE there is none, they never reply to emails or bother answering the phone. _________________ -------------------

Hopefully not because you think it's performance is better... _________________ Lutz

Col,
I have exactly the same behaviour on my Ipaq 5450 (with no other running programmes) and I had assumed that this was a bug which would hopefully get fixed in an update.
If this is a "feature" I would like to know whether a faster SD card (on which I have my maps) would help?
Please can those who don't have this problem post their configurations.
Thanks
Pete |

I am told that this is a "feature" of CoPilot. :x _________________ Gone fishing! |

Col,
I guess you're right. I've ordered a fast 1GB SD card anyway as I need the extra space; I'll post whether it makes any difference.
Cheers, Pete |
