missing POI's

Hi

Firstly thanks to everyone who has made up the POI database - its great!

Secondly, Ive downloaded loads of them, everything from airports to zoo's. Ive got a 256mb card and have taken all foreign voices off. Im running 4.40.

Trouble is although if I connect the ttg to my pc and read the sd card, all the ones ive downloaded are there. however on the ttg poi menu, they are missing, for example, halfords is there but holiday inn isnt (even though its on SD card) and there are about 10 different POI's that are on the card, but dont appear in the poi menu.

does the ttg poi menu only hold so many poi's even though they are installed on the card?

I have found the same. I can only get 81 different PoI's onto TTG. There are a lot more on the SD card. These appear as I delete others. Unfortunately I can only delete the ones I have added. I can't delete any of the preloaded PoI's.
Are you finding that 81 is the limit too?

There is a way round the limit by combining .ov2 files with WinOV, but I don't have access to a windows machine that I can customise with extra programmes. I've been successful doing drag and drop adding of PoI's on my home machine which is an Apple Mac.

that could be it then, I will get my ttg and count how many I have put on it and see if its 81, if so I guess I will have to chose my favourite ones.
