Some scenarios I've struggled with, perhaps u guys have good solutions:
1.
have u encountered a scenario where you know where u wanna go i.e. a shopping centre (which isnt in the POI databases u can download) but u dont know the street name or postcode, but you know it is fairly near by.
OR
You know a street name but the TTG doesnt find that street.
In these sorts of scenarios, how do you guys find where you're going? Is there a good way of getting TTG to help get u there or thereabouts?
I was shocked to see that the 'BullRing' shopping centre in Birmingham isnt in the shopping centre's databases (I've tried both the one that came with TTG and a new one I downloaded.)
2.
Another thing, lets say you're driving and cannot stop but wanna add the place u r driving past as a favourite for quick use later in the day....is there an easy way to QUICKLY store the current GPS position without having to stop driving, or without a million screen presses? |

Only one I've run across:

In my area, some streets are officially known with a prefix such as "N Wilson Blvd." instead of "Wilson Blvd.". Sometimes checking out prefixes finds the street.

I found that quite confusing for a Brit in the States when looking for East xxx Ave or North xxx Street you have to enter just E and N not the whole word. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Tap on Memorize Position. It stores your current position in Recent Locations.
I think that Memorize Position is on the second page of the Navigator menu by default. If you use it a lot then you can change the position to the first page by selecting Properties, Advanced tab and changing the menu items accordingly.

For TomTom Go you can do this by tapping on the screen then add favourite, then memorise position, then done. _________________ Mike Barrett |
