Another newbie question

Hi folks,

I've just got a garmin legend which is EU basemap preloaded.

I have picked up an old version of metroguide europe (V4.09).

My question is should I be able to save the basemap before putting the metroguide map on the device?

I tried to load the map from the device but I get an error about worldmap and road & recreation 4.0 not loaded.

If not transferable from the device, is the basemap downloadable anywhere?

My dilemma is caused by the fact that the metroguide is older than the basemap.

the basemap is fixed and cannot be deleted
