I have some odd problems with MN4, but the most annoying one is that sometimes MN4 does not start.
For example, I start MN4, use it, then quit. Afterwards I cannot start it anymore until I soft reset the device.
My hardware is iPAQ 5550.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Are you closing down MN4 before switching off your PPC or just switching off the PPC.... none of the navigation programs handles not being shut down gracefully at all well.
If I recall correctly MN4 requires at least 10Mb of free RAM to run properly - if you have other stuff running (in the background for example) it would be eating into the free memory and possibly preventing MN4 from launching - so a look in iTask to see what else is running when MN4 won't launch might be illuminating. |

I've plenty of memory on my device and nothing is running except normal processes. I earn my living as a C++ programmer and CE platform is nothing new to me, but still have no clue on why MN4 would not restart sometimes... |

BTW: I am NOT switching off PPC. Just quit MN4, then it would not restart... |

Another annoying problem... Steps to repro:
No GPS connected.
Start MN4
One destination
Special destination
In another town (should work with NO GPS connected)
If no address was previously selected on this map then all edit boxes are disabled.
To workaround this...
Back
Back
Address
Select a town in town edit box. ANY town.
Back
Special destination
In another town
Now town editbox is enabled as it should be.
