I'm relatively new to this satnav thing, and have got Tomtom3.
What happens in 12 months time, when the maps are more out of date than they are now? Can I just download new maps, or will I end up having to upgrade to Tomtom4 (or whatever is next) ?
What are people's experience of this? |

It will be an upgrade price but GBP 20 is overly optimistic. More in the 60 range _________________ Lutz

Tbh, it is a bit of a rip off when you just want them to fix the errors they've made in the current maps, but they make you shell out for the whole software. Personally I think they should just be fixed with patches. _________________ TomTom 6 - SPV M5000 and WM6

Well, they are not exactly charging you for fixing software errors - they charge you for newer maps that they have to buy from TeleAtlas. _________________ Lutz

TomTom have to be paid and £40 - £60 is pretty fair, they may fix some bugs etc, but you will get extra features and functionality.
You would pay to upgrade your operating system I bet! |
