Folks,

I'm brand new to this game (1st post and all) and have already come accross a question. I have got myslef an Dell AXIM and a TomTom Bluetooth receiver. I am looking ino which software to use currently.

Since I bought it second hand I have not got all of the contents of the TomTOm navigation box set, so I don't have any manuals for the receiver itself. I have had a look on the website but can't find any manual downloads.

Basically I'd just like to know how long I am supposed to charge the unit for? and a breakdown of what the LEDS mean?

ANy help much appreciated.

Great site by the way.

You can download the manual from the TomTom support website.
http://support.tomtom.com

Select FAQ's from left menu
Select TomTom Navigator 3, Bluetooth GPS under product
hit search.
You should see this Question near the end of the list.
The link to the pdf manual is just above the user rating.

(To save you some time, while plugged into charger, when red light goes out, it is fully charged. )

4. Indicators

4.1 Bluetooth Indicator
The left indicator shows that your GPS receiver is switched on. Whenever this indicator is lit continuously or flashes, your GPS receiver is on. The indicator flashes when it is ready for connection with your PDA, Smartphone or laptop. If there is an active connection between the GPS and a device, the indicator will be lit continuously. When the battery level is low, the indicator will turn red, meaning the GPS receiver needs to be charged to guarantee continued operation.

4.2 GPS and Charge Indicator
The right indicator flashes continuously whenever the GPS receiver is determining your position (“getting a fix”). When the internal battery is charging the color of the indicator will turn red or orange.
