|
|
I should be grateful if somebody could advise me. please?
I have just tried to update the camera files on my Garmin Drivesmart satnav using the csv to gpx converter.
However, I have an error message telling me that the “redspeed_no speed” wav file and the “redspeed_no speed” wav are missing and that that I should copy them from the “CSV Converter download package”.
However, these files are not in the converter package.
This is the first time I have received this message. The last time I updated was at the beginning of July with no problems.
Am I doing something wrong?
thanks |

Redspeed_no_speed was an old file set long since discontinued
What the program is doing is finding a RedSpeed_No_Speed.csv or .gpx and trying to match it in the BMP and WAV list
Can you look through your working folder and remove all existing csv and gpx files from the working folder and re process the downloaded database as it sounds like you may have stragglers _________________ Lets be careful out there ! |

looks like it is in the latest download if I remove it and go into converter everything is green, does that mean I can run POIloader ok? |

Yes, once you've removed the offending CSV then all will be good
You could run POILoader with the error and that Red speed camera won't have any icon or alert sound _________________ Lets be careful out there ! |

Thank you for you reply
I removed csv and gpx files from the working folder.
I then unzipped the camera database file again and in the window of the CSV converter program no “redspeed_no speed” csv file appears and the background is green.
I then ran “Process” and in the first section of the window a “redspeed_no speed” gpx file appears and as you say there is no corresponding wav or bmp file. The background is red.
I am at a loss as to why the “redspeed_no speed” gpx file appears
Additional Information:-
When I unzip the camera database file in windows there are 69 csv files
When I unzip the camera database in the converter program there are 33 csv files
After running process there are 40 gpx files.
Should there not be the same number of files for each?
As mentioned in my first post, when I last updated there was no problem at all with the "red speed no speed file" |

Thanks once again for the information.
I will leave it for the moment in case I delete some thing I shouldn't. So as i understand it, this POI will exist in the sat nav's database but I won't be alerted to it ( No Wav or Bmp) |

Yep
As you say, unless you know which line in which file to remove you could cause an issue
I'm sure once MaFt seess this he will edit or remove the entry
I know that location, passed it many times when I lived in west London
MaFt, there are no road markings so it should be a Redlight, and the speed limit signs, set in the central reservation some distance before are 40mph _________________ Lets be careful out there ! |

THis is a 40mph cam. My apologies, it was one that was corrected from Redlight to RedSPeed but I missed the speed...
I have updated in the backend if you want to re-download the database and that should be fixed now! |
