Hi all can someone help please? ever since Garmin has been messing around I have been having problems downloading my speed cameras, I have followed your instructions and downloaded the speed cameras (unzipped ) to the micro card and can see them on the Garmin but no voice to warn me! what am I doing wrong? I have used your site with this Garmin Drive Deluxe for quite a few tears now and this is the first time I've had any problems, can someone help please.
Many Thanks FWoody |

You still need POIloader to collect the 3 files for each set and build the Garmin GPI file _________________ DashCam:

You can use the Garmin GPS Simulator option to test a route from the armchair
Set a destination that you know goes past a camera and see what happens _________________ DashCam:

No still no voice for the cameras I can see the cameras but silence. When I use POI loader it tells me the folder (the micro card from the Garmin is an invalid folder so I cannot load the cameras onto it. It will allow me to load them onto the Garmin unit in the POI folder but the download instructions on the say to load them onto the micro card from my Garmin, What am I doing wrong

You'd be better to load the mapping onto the card to leave room for POIloader to load the GPI file onto the device _________________ DashCam:

I had a feeling Kremmen would get you sorted! That's why I suggested asking in the forums as it's been an age since I've used POI Loader.... |

..... and me as I now use Google Maps in satellite view on my car headunit
Far better than Garmin
I should have twigged earlier that the camera database needs to be on the device, not on a card _________________ DashCam:

Also, as mentioned in the tutorial, unless sox.exe is present in the PoiLoader.exe folder on the computer, then the voice warnings won't work. _________________ nuvi 2599LMT-D, oregon 700, basecamp, memory-map. |

Sorry everyone but still no voice warnings. I have all the 3 bmp csv and wav. Still no voice alert. I have tried everyway and still nothing, so Im going to ask the forum what other sat nav (apart from garmin) are any good and so I can download speed cameras down with ease. What ever Garmin have done they have made a good job of blocking these speed cameras. Many Thanks fwoody |
