Hello: I just bought a new Navman Pin and have been reading your website to gain knowledge. I believe I can use other software, any suggestions, also any software that can be used off-road.
Thanks |

What do you mean when you say "Pin"? _________________ Lutz

The Navman PIN is basically a re-badged MIO 168 with Smart St Software or so I believe. |

Well Navman themselves sell a product call SmartExplorer, this is a version of Memory-Map, unfortinately the map data is not any use for walking or hiking.
Assuming that Navman havent put any locks on the device then you should be able to use just about any software, including Memory-Map, Fugawi, and Anquet for UK, or Memory-Map, Outdoor Navigator, or OziExplorer for other places in the world. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Thank you for your help. I found another Forum were correspondants had installed other software, so there does not seem to be any lock. |
