Hi everyone, newbie here.
I seem to be having the same problem as a few other people on here, with regards to downloading the camera database to my ICN 520. Everything seems to be tranferred to the device, but I cant find it on the device, and it doesent seem to be picking up any cameras, when out on the road. So I persume I have made a mistake with the install.
If someone has succsessfully carried out this procedure to a 520, could they help me out please!
Thanks in advance. |

Well, I have downloaded the database to my comp, saved it all in my documents, then I opened the "csv" folder, then the "other" folder, I then found six documents, the first one called "pocketgps_continental.csv" so I opened each one with notepad, then erased the heading and closed up the gap, then saved each document.
Then I opened the navman software with my ICN520 connected, then transferred each file individually from my documents on to my navman, excactly as described by the instructions, and at the same time I was adding the bitmap image to each file, I got the images from the folder called "ov2 bmp files"
Does this sound right to you? |

Hi,
I have the ICN520 and I am trying n vein to install the speed camera files.
I have followed the instructions from both the forum and website in detail but still noting is working on my unit. I have tried deleting the first line and adding the ; and it just will not show up in my 'active poi' menu on my unit.
Please some one tell me what it is I am doing wrong. One thing I can think of is when I down load the zip file I am not getting any csv files. all I am getting is the following:
Need Help - HTML Document
License - Text Document
Notes - Text Document
pocketgps_uk_sc - ASC File
pocketgps_uk_sc - Bitmap Image
Please someone help,
Thanks

Chris, no need to do any editing on the .asc files. Just use the Navman POIEditor to import the .asc files you require. _________________ Tim |

Have you successfully loaded any other POIs? IF so, how many?
Have you ensured that the POIs you're trying to transfer are 'active' in the POIEditor software? _________________ Tim |

Nope, not added any other POS's.
Yes, the Active box is ticked. |

I Believe that I have now done it. I had to go into the files on the Navman and cut them from the main page into the MY POI file of the storage card it's self. It appears that it would not load directly into the correct file from MY POI editor.
I'll let you all know if it works. Fingers Crossed. |

So you're saying that the files weren't put into the MyPOI directory? Where were they put, for future reference, please? In the root of the device, root of memory card or elsewhere? _________________ Tim |
