But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!
yes, I am a little concerned, before posting here to ask if anyone else knows, I tried to find out on the net to see if the mio 168 was NMEA 2.2 compatible without luck!
Not that I'm planning to upgrade, but I am curious to know whether the EU Upgrade includes the UK maps or not - or would that be £50 for the UK plus another £99 for the EU ones
The £99 European map upgrade includes the UK, I confirmed this with ALK.

I just realized that my CP 5 was 'downgraded' back to version 5.0.1.13 when my hard drive was re-imaged a while ago. I re-installed CP 5 after that, but forgot to apply the latest patches, which for the USA are:
Desktop: 5.0.1.22 (Sep 2004)
PPC: 5.0.1.61 (Jan 2005)
This affects two bugs I reported:
1. "GPS, Submit GPS tracks menu command missing":
my mistake, this was fixed on the desktop with patch 5.0.1.22, which I just re-installed. This command makes it very simple to submit GPS tracks, and thereby keeps your SD card from filling up with them. The command moves the GPSTracks from PPC to desktop, packs them into email to ALK, and prompts you on your preference to keep or delete the files.
2. "Can't navigate to Outlook Contact as destination if address is not perfect"
This bug was apparently introduced in the latest PPC patch 5.0.1.61, which I am NOT re-installing. I noticed the bug was cured by downgrading to the previous patch level. I have not heard any corroboration from UK, but at least one other USA user agrees with me that this is a bug. Details on request, I think I have posted them before. _________________ Doug
