I see no option to 'list orders' does this mean mine didn't go through? |
You need to log in and then click on the support link (http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?Language=1)
There'll be a menu on the left then, My Products, My Orders, My Questions, My Profile etc. |

I was kinda hoping it might have been a download so I could update straight away, but apparently not as it says TomTom3 maps don't work with TomTom5.

Me too, although I go away in two weeks. I've pretty much resigned myself to using TomTom3 + Checkpoint on this particular journey. Even thought TomTom5 will likely be waiting for me when I get back.
My order does appear on my current order list.. along with TomTom Mobile. I expect a long wait for both! |

I must admit I'm a bit surprised that they're giving away the Maps of Western Europe as part of the upgrade given that they were a £100+ option for TT3 (and still are for Go users).
I've had mine for a couple of years so they're not owe me anything, but I'd be a bit miffed if I'd just shelled out for them. |

I asked Tomtom when the "full Package" for TTN 5 will be released, they sent me the following reply:
It is not available on the website for the moment but ask your local retails they could have TomTom Navigator 5 available right now if not ask them when they order it and when they will have it. The Distributors in UK already have the TomTom Navigator 5.

From reading this posts here, is it safe for me to assume that this update right now for Navigator 5 is only for UK customers? What about the upgrade to US customers who have TTN 2004? Any clues on when we would be able to do the upgrade.

Certainly not UK only. Did you read the site?
It doesn't make mention of TomTom2004, but does mention USA & Canada maps. So I guess you might be able to upgrade. |

I had an email confirmation of my order within about 10 minutes, so the log jam seems to be clearing a little

Same here. They updated the Western Europe maps last year for free, and we actually paid 10 euros less. There will be a glut of TT3 western Europe maps appear on e-bay now....
