have not found how to avoid toll roads yet, will keep playing. Nor can I remove the bloomin £ signs or maccy D

The grey screen issue, to me, seems to be a problem with processor load. The map appears in blocks and some or all of these do not appear on the screen. When this happens it seems to have been doing a traffic update & advising of new route to avoid it. I have smartlink, but as I found, one can only have one Bluetooth connection active, so my phone pairs with the hands free.

Every morning my beloved garmin tells me to 'drive to start of route' which is behind me. So I drive round the block. However I know to turn left, left, left to get there. When you are in a s strange place (is this not the point of a sat-nav?) it gives no clue as to how to get to the start of the route. It is a right pain. It is things like this that set tomtom apart from garmin. If only tomtom had allowed POIs on their 9000 model.

Unfortunately, spending the best part of £300 on the 3598, it will be many years till I get another. Can just hope garmin updates will give more tomtom like features, although I doubt this, they want us to keep upgrading & with free lifetime maps they need to keep making next years model just slightly better than last years.
