I found that fuel prices wouldn't work until I'd updated via HOME, but it does then have a refresh option via the TT, once you done that. |

The fuel-price thingy seems to show the availability of high-Cetane diesel as well as local prices - which will be very useful to me if it's accurate!
A problem though: is it possible to invert the display so that a 540 can be hung downwards from the dash on my MINI - like I seem to remember doing with a 300 years ago in a different car? |

The rotate screen options were dropped from the devices quite some time ago so it won't do that, and putting it in a mount inverted wouldn't be too easy I should have thought - Mike |

Just got a 540. When planning a route in advance it asks if you want to specify a date and time. On my device its coming up with the year 1970. I can't find anywhere to change this. |

Ha ha, couldn't help laughing! Does the device really have IQ Routes data from 1970? |

Darren up the M23 from jn 11 heading towards m25 1 alert on the wrong side of the road. A22 Bypass same alert when i headed both diretions. It missed the mobile in tollgate hill broadfield, the mobile on the bend near jn 10 on M23 need i say more? that was a short 22 mile each way trip |
Whose data is this? The LIVE speed cam data? |
Darren Its the speed camera data supplied on the 940 as new and that was after an update on home. I have deleted the speed alerts that it came with and put on the speed Camera alerts from here that I was very happy with previously on my 720. |

Thank you. Didn't know it would be something so obvious. Also noticed the 'Sync' option appears in time preferences once its got a fix. |

If I leave the TT in the cradle charging, but switched on, and do nothing on it for 5 min or so, it automatically shuts down (with a 10 second window to press "cancel"). Anybody know how I can disable this? I couldn't find anything myself in the options. |
Hi, hope this is what you're after.
From the Main Menu, go to Change Preferences.
Scroll to screen 7 of 8, tap Battery-Saving Preferences.
First screen gives choices regarding dimming screen, click Done.
Second screen says Switch off when external power is lost.
Now, I don't know if that will solve your problem but hope it helps.
Actually, forget that. I have just read the manual, it says:
When you connect your GO to a computer using the home dock, it will ask if you want to connect to the computer. If you tap NO and do not tap the screen within three minutes, the device will automatically turn off. This happens so the battery can charge faster
Just in case I am wrong, am testing mine to see if same occurs. |
