All files are there when I extract them but not all files get transferred to my TomTom. |
Ha Ha...
Presumably this is "TheOx" as in charging around like a bull in a china shop? Blaming other people with no reason....
You ADMIT the files are in the download, but you've failed to install them correctly.
As people (who have been kind enough to try to help) have said above, there is a limit to how many POI category files you can put on your machine at once.
Maybe if YOU helped a bit and gave some more information about your system and what you have done.
The database downloads and installs fine here - nothing missing.

Something is definitely wrong here and please don't put the blame onto my TomTom as this is a brand new item. |
If only that were true... it would make life on these forums MUCH easier.
Unfortunately, a beginner can mess up a brand new machine just as easily as an old one....
As far as I can see, the problem you are having bears NO relation to the issue they had with the latest database release anyway. |

Aha, therein lies the secret...
...these are GATSO and SPECS (ie fixed cameras), and therefore must have been verified before they appeared in the database, which has now been downloaded _________________ Andy

You don't need a dingy to verify them anyway, try the satelite view in the google map. |

If we verified cameras using Google Maps, they would be at least a year out date.
Cameras are verified in person for complete accuracy _________________ Andy

Yes but you can verify the TBA cameras on foot, not with a dingy, mini sub or flippers. When I sugested the satelite view I meant to show you that they are not in the water

Serve me right for not actually checking where they were first!
I suppose we should explain for those who might not realise what on Earth we're on about... One of the (several) methods PGPSW use to spot "harvesting" of the database by other people, is to put a couple of "dummy" camera positions in daft places, so that it's easy to see if the data has been copied. |

these were actually the result of people demanding the specs tba and gatso tba files to be included in every release... a simple dummy file that will always be downloaded and highly unlikely to ever give you a false wanring ;)

Absolutely, and they were very well placed for doing just that - but as the topic of submersibles had been mentioned and some people seemed to be getting a little up tight about missing files, I was just trying to make light of it. _________________ Andy

The liberal use of the emoticon indicates a light-headed post. |
