See told ya I'd be back, there's a few sounds missing apparently on speed/red light camera warnings, low bridge warning and the sound for a Poi. Are these likely to be in the western Europe file as well? What file type should I be looking for? Thanks |

The sounds will probably be in .ogg format, although they may be .wav too.
There are two places they might be found...
1. They will EITHER be in the Western Europe FOLDER along with the POI files they are meant to go with - in which case they will have the same name as the POI file itself, but with the .ogg extension
(so you may have something like "low_bridge.ov2" "low_bridge.bmp" and "low_bridge.ogg" for example),
2. OR they will be in the "sounds" folder, in which case they can be called anything.
-----------------
To set the sounds up to work with the POIs, you go to Manage POIs / Warn when near, in the Preferences menu.
If they are in the map folder (option 1 above) then after you have entered the distance at which you want the warning to occur, you then have to say "yes" to the question "Is this the sound you want to use" even though you haven't heard anything.
(The sound is selected automatically because it has the same name, remember? But you still MUST go through this procedure before the sound gets used).
If they are in the sounds folder (option 2 above) then after you have entered the distance at which you want the warning to occur, you select the sound from the list of sound effects as you would expect. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
