I'm happy to re-confirm the information previously posted - Yes, it locks on to the TMC transmitter (eventually, just as bad as the older antennas!) and receives traffic reports. HW/SW is Go 730 IQ routes Navcore 8.351.

I believe one or two other members also reported success. Cool

Took my capsule apart sorted any dry joints, but still doesn't work.
Not totally clear from previous discussions whether the USB type would work on my 720T??

The mini USB style receiver will work fine with your 720, the RDS receiver that is combined in to the power lead will NOT - Mike

The mini USB RDS receiver will be fine as it gets its supply from the existing power lead that you used to plug in to the TomTom, the RDS receiver has a short lead with a mini USB plug on the end that you plug in to the socket on the TomTom, this supplies both power and RDS data to the TomTom - Mike

Bit of confusion going on here....

The one Mike is saying WON'T work is the one where the aerial lead is combined into the power lead.

Lousy pic...

This makes for a flat, fat cable, just about visible in this other pic from the TT website....

Is that the one you say DOES work on your Go730, cheapskater? If so, then I'd have thought it was usable on a 720 as well as the hardware is virtually identical.

The one which DOES work on the 520/720 is the one peasemore posted a picture of. There seems to be enough of a question about the other one that it would be tempting fate to buy it. So get the square one in that peasemore picture.

Yeah I realise that, I was just intrigued by any report of the new one working when the established wisdom is that it isn't compatible.

To get the newer one working on an x20/ x30 requires certain files to be taken from a Navcore build intended for the x40/ x50 and install them to the older device - Mike

To respond to Andy_P's question from earlier this morning (with lousy picture). Yes, that is the latest antenna that I'm reporting working on my GO 730 IQ routes, it has the integrated single power/antenna cable with a mini USB connector to the GO.
It's running Navcore 8.351 from it's SD card socket, however it has TT Work version 8.3xx (Released by TT in error, sorry, can't remember the version) on its internal memory. I haven't moved any files around (at all) from internal memory to SD card, but am using TT Home to manage the unit.
