Eh???? On a Saturday??? Have you got some sort of "in"???[/quote]
Yes Dennis, at least up to about 14.00hrs which is when they sent the last email....
"Response (Annis M. (UK)) 09/01/2010 02.03 PM
Dear Mr R,
Thank you for contacting TomTom Customer Care
The reference number for your query is 100110-000xxx.
I am sorry to hear that you are having difficulty with your HD traffic or live services. To help me investigate why you are not receiving HD traffic updates, please do the following:-
STEP 1 Charge your device up."
They have yet to reply to my latest email but I imagine it will be the same thing as their previous answer.
Mike. |

Just to add insult to injury, I have another email from TomTom telling me how my LIVE services will help me avoid jams caused by the snow. |

I had a reply from this this morning which shocked me as well.
Shame it was absolute garbage about charge your device blah blah blah
Will post some screen shots in a mo - went for a drive and to say the service was on and off is an understatement, more like off with th occasional on.
One thing I have noticed is HD Traffic connects after about 15-30 mins but if I then try and do a Google Search or access Weather I eventually get an error about the Tom Tom Servers being made of cheese or something and then the HD traffic stops.
Probably all my fault for turning my device on and expecting it to work |

Cod or Haddock is all you get round here.
Bit far for you to come and sample though ... |

Admins / Mods - I apologise for such a lengthy post in advance. No commentry needed - this is just to demonstrate how bad the LIVE Services have been this afternoon. As you can see, at one point Traffic connected but then all Services dropped again.

Forgot to mention - the pluserror.txt file is 47 pages long from this afternoon only - I cleared it off of the device before taking these screenshots. |

Since around 5pm last night, HD traffic has been off and on including ALL of today. Resets have not sorted it.
I have also reported this issue to Tomtom!

Well, in a sense, the fish would be 'used' if it ain't flopping around on the plate but how about "Are the F & C MADE with halibut?"
Geez.....you're hanging around mvl too much, gator person. _________________ David |

My Google Search is working. Course, they don't really do Haddock in Lancashire, so I suppose these two are just over the border in Yorkshire, a.k.a. God's Own County.

Thanks for bringing this thread back to where it should be, content wise, DennisN.

And back on topic,
normal LIVE Service seems to have magically resumed today. Everything working, response times back to where they used to be etc.
Whatever the server / network issue was it seems to have been magically fixed since around 6pm yesterday.
Tomorrow morning will be the test, when the country grinds to a halt because of a sprinkling of snow |

Dennis, unless the border has moved somewhat and the Yorkies have invaded under the cover of snow, The Happy Haddock is still in Lancashire on Darwen Street in Blackburn, near the BBC Radio Lancashire (or is it now West West Yorkshire) studios. |
