I think you will find Dennis is right. When you update your map e.g. download a new map any mapshare corrections you have added yourself will no longer be available.

If of course if you told TT about your corrections and they have been checked out it maybe reasonable to expect them to get included in the new map perhaps not the next issue, but at least the one after that, but then pigs might fly as well.

If you really mean when you down load mapshare corrections then I think any you have made will be retained.

I always assumed that the UK maps and UK & Europe maps would have the same base map starting point and then TT just extract the relevant areas for each map type.... but no...

Just because TT are the only company to do this it really doesn't excuse the half Censored

way they run it....

There's even a rumour that maps are different across devices, so my map 835 UK&ROI on my XL Live will not cross fertilise (pass MapShare corrections) to map 835 UK&ROI on a GO520 (and all the other devices with UK&ROI maps).

But the good side of this is that I'm such an unreliable MapShare sharer that you wouldn't want my corrections anyway. And you're such an unreliable sharer, that I wouldn't want yours either. So TomTom are saving us both the worry - all we have to worry about are the people with the same device and the same map - but I expect they are thoroughly reliable.

And anyway, you'd accept only corrections verified by TomTom.
