No Pmobile variable file in the 6.065 - 27 June 2008 release. |

You need to re-download the 6.065 - 27 June 2008 release. There's a problem with it. |

Some "missing files" are in the latest release - GATSO TBA & SPECS TBA
..but be sure to delete these files immediately prior to the next release, just in case there aren't any cameras of these types

GATSO TBA & SPECS TBA have each had a dummy entry added so that they will appear in each release. 
If MOBILE VAR and PMOBILE VAR received the same treatment this would overcome the current missing file issue. |

Just what is going on here!!!!!!!!!
After the so called successful update I now have three files missing which are the original two and also the uktemp file.
Is this some kind of joke as I do not find it very funny being ripped off so can you get the problem sorted or I will be demanding a full refund. |

Something of an over reaction there I think and a little unfair! Yes we made a mistake, and we have apologised. Such mistakes are thankfully few and far between but they can happen.
I've just checked the download and temp cameras are there as are all the others that ought to be, what files are you claiming are missing?

Not an over reaction at all and I am not being unfair as I am a firm believer that if I pay for something I expect to get what I have purchased it is as simple as that.
All files are there when I extract them but not all files get transferred to my TomTom.
The missing files are:
ukspecs tba.
ukgatso tba.
uktemp.
The first two files have been missing from my first download and since yesterdays upgrade uktemp is now missing.
Something is definitely wrong here and please don't put the blame onto my TomTom as this is a brand new item.
I think it needs sorting by a technician who knows how to solve the problem. |

The files ARE there in the current download. If they aren't showing in the list then perhaps you have exceeded the POI limit for your device? What device do you have, what software version and how many POIs do you have in your map folder?

I have just checked my speed-zoned download which from your first posts I assume you have downloaded......
All the files you say are missing are in my download......
Maybe it would be an idea to delete your download so there can be no confusion......
Then re-download the data-base and check it again.
No-one has blamed the TomTom....
And I doubt they will.......
If they are on your PC.....
This means you have downloaded & unzipped it correctly.......
and you have moved them to your TomTom correctly they will be there......
The guys here aint out to rip us off......
There was a mistake with the download and that has been corrected....
No problem, nothing broken......... |

This kinda confuses matters though..........
Your first statement says you are downloading all the files you should and so there is no problem......
But then the next sentence says they are missing
It says.......
All files are there when you extract them.......
But
ukspecs tba, ukgatso tba & uktemp are missing from the download
I am confused now  |

Quite a reasonable belief to have, but you have subscribed since the previous release (12 June) and the published update frequency is monthly, therefore this interim update ought to be seen as a bonus, n'est pas?
...and what if the team hadn't owned up to an honest mistake, making most people none the wiser?
We try to operate a fair and transparent system here and, like Darren mentioned, it is VERY rare that mistakes are made, but things are put right as quickly as possible when they do happen.
Besides which, even if the mistake wasn't rectified, the previous release of 12 June would probably still have been far more up to date than any other database around - so please relax a little and see how you feel when the dust has settled.
....furthermore, other members may be more likely to offer help if messages aren't seen to be quite so hostile
