Could I make a suggestion to the staff. On a forum I helped run we had a section called ‘Get it off your chest’, we did think of calling it ‘The boxing ring’ .
This was a place members could go to vent their spleen on just about anything. They could have a moan about the staff, members or just some everyday thing that was getting to them.
Found this tended to keep problems off the forum and still allowed every one to have a say.
Plus post could be moved there if it broke out into an argument.

I am sick to death of his CONSTANT barbs, is what I said, I didn't say anything about being sick to death as a result of a SINGLE barb from him.
And I'm sick to death of your constant whingeing at great length about other people in this and other threads, and tryimg to wade through your posts to find anything remotely on topic. If you don't like this forum, please go elsewhere.
Now that this HAS been moved to an Off Topic area, I can respond appropriately.
Suffice to say, No, no you are not "sick to death" of my alleged whingeing etc etc...
On the contrary, you are simply angered at an attack against one of your fellow colleagues.
Take my word for it, repeated, multiple, every single message I post, Dennis jumps on replies - now THAT, that really does constitute "sick to death".
And trust me - I am, really I am. Is it TOO MUCH to ask that a MODERATOR of a respected forum can desist from having a go at a specific member, on every post he makes?
So PLEASE...
Don't give us "your sick to death" - your ire amounts to nothing approaching.
I know this, because I REALLY do know what sick to death feels like now.
Indeed whilst this might just sound incredulous, the genuine truth is, I am almost FRIGHTENED to reply to ANY message on here these days, no matter how uncontroversial, and how helpful my response might be, because every time I do, that certain person ALWAYS seems to find a way to put it down. That, on my son's life, is EXACTLY how I feel right now!
You then go on to disprove everything you try to claim, by then saying "I whinge at great length about other people.
All that serves to do is demonstrate emphatically, just how little you have indeed looked into this, or know about this, before jumping on a band-wagon that has little to do with you.
Because to the genuine very best of my knowledge, not a SINGLE post exists on this whole forum, of me berating any other person other than Dennis, for his constant barbs at me.
So I would be more than happy for you to demonstrate said examples of these many many posts where i whinge about other people. More than happy to see them.
But as they don't really exist in the way you lie and claim, I think it says a lot about the REST of what you had to say too.
So I ask you again... is it too much to ask, for a well respected forum like this, to expect the Mod to behave with a sense of decency?
Don't DARE tell me to go elsewhere - who the hell do you think you are to tell me that... I should be able to partake of this site, helping people with replies where possible (and I have done on multiple occasions) without fear of personal attack, and especially from a Mod at that.
That should be an automatic given right - the LAST thing to do is add fuel to the fire by being as inconsiderate yourself.
Indeed you slate me for all the supposed instances on the site I have made things go OT.... but by posting as you did, you do EXACTLY the same - you of all people know what the little "PM" button is for and does and could have used it.
So who the hell are you to attack me for the very thing you commit yourself.
Again, is Double Standards the NORM around here?
Besides which, your reply was nothing more than deliberately inflammatory, or at best, ill-advised.
Why do I say that...
Because in the post immediately after yours, Mike Alder responds, saying he too is tired of all this.
But HIS reply, is MUCH more reasoned, calm, and balanced, and as a result I have a lot more respect for his response, than your ill-thought out, one-sided, inflammatory one.
If you want to gripe, hit the PM button at me, and gripe away, or come up and introduce yourself at the next PGPSW meet.
Otherwise, grow up, verifier or not.
Or better yet, take some of Mike's advice, as in the post under yours.
I will be.
End of the matter - so feel free to have free-reign to slander, slate, and attack me, the last word will be yours, as a show of respect.

Provided that you stay within forum rules - which also apply to the off topic area _________________ Andy

I'm going to lock this thread now and delete in a few hours.
I'm not going to lay blame at anyone's door but this has become very silly. if it continues in other threads then I will consider the very rare action of banning those responsible. _________________ Darren Griffin
