Just got back from Switzerland - going into the country gave TomTom to my daughter in the back and she played it like a Nintendo DS as we were going in - no customs were in evidence at all.

Coming out we poped it into the glove box (it still worked in there!) - still there were no customs on display at the main border crossing in GVA. The rest of the time I just used it as normal.

I lived in Switzerland for a few years and am well aware of how strict it is there! I was fined many times while living in Swtzerland for various things, but it's very rare to see traffic police and even rarer for them to take any notice of you, unless you are doing 1kph over the speed limit.
