Cos when I went to school, if a road ran left to right across the map, and I was going left, my direction of travel was 270. |

Oh poo....
Well I got the second one right!
I got the numbers right, just got my left and right mixed up (well I am left-handed).
To confirm: imagine you are in the centre of the compass picture in my post and driving out on one of the "arms". Your heading is the number at the end of the "arm" |

Actually "90" was correct, but in my head the little car driving across the page to the right was going "left" |
