OK, here is the reply from TomTom:
"The customer in this thread incorrectly believes that it is necessary to
change the Device Code in order to use TRAFFIC, Weather and QuickGPSFix.
In fact, none of these services are encrypted with the Device Code so
the customer should be able to use these services regardless. To use
TRAFFIC on another device, it is only necessary to 'reset' the account,
which can be done on the website by clicking on the TRAFFIC subscription
on the Plus Services page, and clicking on 'Reset Account'." |

So why when I use them do I get a red message saying this product (or service) is locked to a different device code?
They're doing alot to impress me.... NOT! |

Exact wording when trying to access TT weather (same for any plus service inc. quickfix)

This also occurs with the traffic service which I'm paying for so not good |

that sorted it for traffic but I still needed TT to change the backend db for the other bits of plus.
Anway its sorted now.
The scanned receipt (someone from work managed to dig it out for me) worked and now my TT is a happy TT again.
Thanks for the help Eldar. |
