Drove 10 mins down the road and back, and the phone switched off three times.
carphonewarehouse of course deny responsibility, telling me to contact Garmin. Is this the case? Can I get carphoneware house to replace/fix
what are Garmin like when repairing? are they quick, will i have to pay postage etc? |

What has the phone got to do with the i3 problem?
As for Garmin support they have a very good reputation, I would give them a ring and see what they can do for you - Mike |

the phone has nothing to do with it at other, other than being the shop i bought it from. Just wondering if it was their responsibility to fix it, or whether to go to Garmin direct. I will give Garmin a ring shortly |

When you said
Quote: | and the phone switched off three times. |

not entirely sure what your point is, but you are quoting 2 posts about 2 different things completely unrelated. The first was to say that my i3 kept switching off, and whether i should contact the shop i bought it from (carphonewarehouse) or Garmin direct
as your you second quote, someone posted
What has the phone got to do with the i3 problem?
As for Garmin support they have a very good reputation, I would give them a ring and see what they can do for you - Mike
well the phone has nothing to do with it, i never mentioned a phone, apart from carphonewarehouse
hope that clears up any confusion? |

I'm sure you're right, zogman. I probably am a bit mad, but I still love my i3. It does what I want it to do - gets me from a to b and, thanks to pgpsw, warns me about speed cameras so I can check my speed. I've got used to its funny ways, like early turn instructions, am quite happy using the scroll wheel instead of a touch-screen, and it's small enough to slip into my bag so I'm never tempted to leave it in the car.
And, probably most importantly, I'm VERY pleased with Garmin's customer service.
So I won't be joining you on the TomTom forum just yet! :D _________________ Anita

It's OK, kai666, didn't mean to humiliate you! We all do silly things like that sometimes. It's just so nice when it's someone else who's done it! :D _________________ Anita

anyway after that, i phoned garmin, whose systems are down! Anyway they are going take a look as soon as they can register it in their system! really annoying it has happened now, just before an interview. Haven't needed it for weeks! typical.
Maybe they will upgrade to v9 maps as compensation?!? |
