A few years ago I bought a swivel mount and vent clip for my pug106 and a mobile phone. Basically the little nub that comes with the swivel mount you stick on the back of your gps with the included 3m tape.
This little nub will hang on the vent mount. But the gps will swivel back and forth when you go round corners, just drive slower Seriously you could probably put a bit of rubber on the vent mount to stop the rotation.
I actually have a tomtom one v3 (regional) and the nub is stuck on the back in the middle of the speaker. This probably is the best place as it is high up on the gps, and still allows the original sucker mount to be used.
This is in my works bag so i need to use both, its simple enough, and the nub seems to be securely attached. But dont blame me if you drop your gps cause you didnt stick it on securely! Its also a cheap option if you want something quick and have these items lying around!

They have arrived in the UK now, and I received mine yesterday. Like all Brodit mounts, it seems very well made, and makes for a very neat installation
