You can stick it on the dashboard, then use the sucker on your i2 to attach it to it.

It's so you can attach the device to something other than the windscreen.

I find that in my Ford Ka, when the device is on the windscreen it's too far away for my ageing eyes to see properly, so I've stuck the disc to the top of the dashboard. With the mount attached to that it's much closer and easier to see.

Thanks for that, which side peels off? It looks like the red side should, but won't - or should I say I haven't peeled away that much yet in case i damage something i shouldnt.

I can't remember (my memory's going as well as my eyesight!) but since I can see the all black side I assume the side with the red ring is stuck to the dash!

It says the adhesive's permanent, but I actally stuck it to a vertical part of the dash first but found i kept knocking it. I was able to remove the disc by sliding the blade of a knife under it (during the very hot weather), but it screwed up the adhesive pad, so I couldn't use it again. A quick phone call to Garmin and a free replacement disc arrived the next day. Now that's what I call service! :D

£5 difference between the i2 and i3, try £40 more like.

if you'd looked in the For Sale/Wanted forum a few days ago you could have picked one (brand new i3) up for £100 + post Wink
