I cleaned my windscreen with water and a microfibre cloth and now I can hardly get the mount off the glass, its almost stuck solid. Not sure if its the heat or the clean glass or a bit of both.

I had exactly this problem, and discovered that it was the way I was applying it to the windscreen.

When you put the mount against the windscreen with the lever loose, press the hinge of the lever hard towards the windscreen. This has the effect of pushing the centre of the rubber sucker flat against the windscreen (over time, the sucker is pulled into a conical shape so the centre won't go flat against the glass on its own). Once you've pressed the centre of the sucker into the windscreen, you can then apply pressure to the outside of the mount, allowing you to turn the lever as normal, securing the suction.

Hi,

I use the plate attached to my dash. I have this problem a lot, especially in the heat. Quite often it will fall off when I'm driving as well. I'm going to contact Garmin support and see what they say.
