hi just got my tomtom go classic and was reading upon the POI for camera's etc.
all this reading has got me a little confused.
do i use both POI's for normal cameras and the speed zoned ones or just use one of them?
so for example, for one Gatso cam, i would have the original poi warning me of a gatso, then a little while longer i will have the speed zoned gatso poi warning of what the speed zone is?
is that the idea yeh?
anyone got an recommedations of distances i need to set in yards for each poi warnings? it defualts as 273yards.
many thanks for any help

With that post I presume you can't drive and perhaps use the TTG on a push bike. |

Hi biggy7,
Have a read of the beginner’s guide to the PocketGPSWorld camera database here.
beginner’s guide to the PocketGPSWorld camera database wrote: | Gatso: Full list of known fixed speed cameras. You can either use this or all of the following subcategories:
Gatso_20: Known fixed speed cameras in a 20 mph limit
Gatso_30: Known fixed speed cameras in a 30 mph limit
Gatso_40: Known fixed speed cameras in a 40 mph limit
Gatso_50: Known fixed speed cameras in a 40 mph limit
Gatso_60: Known fixed speed cameras in a 60 mph limit
Gatso_70: Known fixed speed cameras in a 70 mph limit
Gatso_tba: Known fixed speed cameras without a recorded speed limit.
The Mobile category can also be split into subcategories, like the Gatso ones above. However Mobile doesn't yet have a "20" subcategory. |
I use a distance of 400 metres (437 yards) for Gatso and 1,000 metres (1093 yards) for Mobile sites.
