No you dont...there are 2 ways to do it. dialogue mode and voice input.

In dialogue mode, you dont have to tap the screen, you can use the remote, select the dialogue mode, do the Voice input, and the system will calculate and go to to nav screen 10secs later without pressing DONe even on the remote.

However, its easier/faster to tap the quick menu screen and then use the remote after.

Just to even out the thread, I actually decided to go for the TomTom 720T in the end (was a very close call). 1-1! Smile

P.S. Have used it for a few days now and apart from the traffic antenna which I'll need to exchange (they still shipped it with the old version! Evil or Very Mad ) am very impressed!
