Grrrr!
As many have stated, the "latest" maps actually don't show newer roads that are already included with other software versions on say Tomtoms Navigator.
Its a real pain, I thought I was stepping up to the latest and greatest when I bought the 1000 series, now its beginning to look like a bad mistake.

Flagship model ?
Well the flagship model is faster, better screen etc etc, the maps should and are the same for all TomTom car products. However you are right they are about 9 months out of date which is shoddy when you think how much they charge.
I'm downloading Europe 8.70 as we speak, but I am expecting that my main bugbear, the extensive remodelling of M4 J11 will not be included on the latest map, given that it doesn't appear on Map Insight's current maps, nor has my report even been looked at.

Be wary! When TeleAtlas say that the changes will be in their next release, this doesn't mean the next release of the maps by TomTom. There is still a long process required before TomTom can get the maps ready for publication to your PND. _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D

Or 3 YEARS for some of my changes to make it...... _________________ XL LIVE IQ Routes (Europe)
