First you must save the file on your PC.
Then you must connect your Mio to the PC, using the USB lead and the Transfer Hack program (search in this forum for details).
Then copy the map file into the maps folder that you will see in your Mio.

Does this actually work? Files I have downloaded with wget in the past to try and get around the abysmal recovery of the Mio update program when the transfer goes splat, seem to be encrypted - or is that just the program files?

It's almost certainly been mentioned before, but you must put the space in the postcode for 7 characters to work.
