Hi, I have a 950 Go Live and I'm looking for a 12v power lead that I could use instead of using the cradle as I'm going to use it in a waterproof case on my motorbike. Ian |

Hi Molerat, thanks for that idea it would be interesting to see what speed it would fly off Ideally I need the same connection just on a 12v charging lead without the dock as the tomtom sits inside a case mounted to the handlebars. |

The problem is that the connector is pretty unique and it does not hold tight into the base of the unit on its own. I doubt you are going to have much success running the unit powered on a bike as it was never designed with that in mind. _________________ Garmin Drive 51LMT-S EU

Plan B, my old Galaxy S7 from my old phone contract with a metal case and a universal handle bar mount.

Well, the S7 is supposed to be waterproof isn't it.
Expensive thing to have nicked though. |

M8TJT it will be pretty well protected from the elements behind the fairing but we'll have to see, the advantage of using this will be the use of google earth for when I go off the beaten track, the phone can be removed from the cradle when I park up and thrown in my jacket pocket. |
