Hi all
Feel ready for a new challange and looking towards getting traffic working.
Have 2210, TT3, road angel (use TTBT sometimes) & Nokia 6310 GPRS.
I need to get a GPRS sim card as phone is provided by work w/o gprs.
Any advice on gprs pay&go vs contract (prefer Vodafone due to phone unlock issues) and setting up the system would be appreciated.
If there is/are previous link(s) please point me in their direction.
thanks

You need Internet GPRS access to use TomTom Traffic.
So far as I know, Vodafone only offer Internet GPRS to those on contract. I find Vodafone's contract GPRS service excellent.
Orange offer Internet GPRS to pre-pay users. I'm pretty sure you can get the unlock codes for a DCT4 Nokia, such as your 6310, free of charge online - but I have no real experience with unlocking. That said, I'd be fairly surprised if a Vodafone contract 6310 was locked - my 6310i was supplied on Vodafone contract and isn't locked.

Every Vodafone I've ever had up until my latest has been unlocked. My latest, a T610 was locked. My last phone, a 6310i (which I'm going back to for various reasons) was not locked. I wouldn't count on this being the norm though as VF have joined the ranks of other providers and begun locking. Shame really. |

I only know about Vodafone (personal and work) and my O2 phone from work. The O2 phone is locked as it will not accept my VF sim.
(I hate carrying 2 phones around) + PDA etc etc
When are we going to get true dual sim phones!?!?!?!? (not these dual sim battery things) |

We probably won't ever get true dual SIM phones - as to be true dual SIM (simultaneously) requires basically two complete phones!
