Just guessing, but can't you install it onto the SD card in the go in the same directory as the other POIs? I'm just guessing here as I've not got a GO. You can download the database from this site.
Off topic now, what the GO like? I've ordered an IPAQ solution but thinking of cancelling it and going for a no hassle solution - i.e. GO. |

What made you go fo "GO" instead of a PDA solution? Was it just that you have no use for a PDA? |

My Currenty PDA is a Dell Axim X5 and is to messy to mount in the car. I wanted something smart and disctreet that was designed for the job. This really fits the bill. |

On the TomTom website it states (under Support FAQ)
"Question
Where can I find Points of Interest to install? And what POI’s will be available for TomTom GO?
Answer
TomTom GO comes with many pre-installed Points of Interests (for example petrol stations, hotels, parking lots). These POI’s are very helpful since you can search them based on your current location, ideal in a city you are not familiar with. In this version of TomTom GO it is not possible to load your own set of POI’s. However you can store any location as a favorite which enables fast selection.
TomTom will make the feature available to add third party POI’s for TomTom GO. An update that includes this feature can be downloaded by end of summer 2004. Please register (Click Here)and we will keep you updated via the TomTom newsletter." |

The current release of GO does now support POI's which is a welcome addition where you can record POI's but I haven't tried loading any others on, I shall give it a go. |

Sorry, need to make a correction here. The current public release 4.21 I believe does not support loading of Custom POI's, but the release I am testing actually does, so hopefully it won't be long before you can use things like our Speed Camera database with GO! |
