Navcore software v12.030 has just been released today, along with MyTomtom 3.2.0.700, finally enabling mapshare for some Nav3 models. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I was offered the new MyTT version (after having emptied the cache of the previous version) but not being offered a new Navcore. _________________ Go 940 (deceased) Live 1000. |

Believe it's the Start 60 and Via 130 / 135s today that start getting daily mapshare with the other Nav3 units end of month (end of June) _________________ TomTom Go Live 6100, 600

Yours is a Nav3 device. Refers to any model where you no longer have access to the file system and must also use MyTomTom and not Home 2.
Do you have the latest (12.030) app? _________________ David |

Hi thanks for your response..
Haven't plugged my Device into my PC for more than a week so I'll assume I don't have the latest software....does it bring many benefits ? Or just under the surface fixes ? |

I presume so if you want mapshares. All models not mentioned in the link are supposed to get them at the end of June with this app. _________________ David |

Ignore the message. That model does indeed require MyTomTom, not Home 2.
I assume you have gotten the required web app at tomtom.com/getstarted. _________________ David |

yeah....all has been working OK
Only last week, i made a major breakthrough and downloaded the USA map for my device and have put on some POI.
Havent downloaded the Home to my PC....may try again later and see what it does.
Any other issues i should look out for ?

There's not really much point... As dhn says, your VIA only uses the "MyTomTom" application.
I'd be interested to see exactly when and how it suggests you download "Home"... Any chance of a description and/or some screenshots from the PC? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Ok will try that tomorrow.
Normally when I plug the device in it loads up the TomTom pages and knows that it is me and then looks for any updates....
Last week I did this and successfully downloaded the USA mAps for it...
This time around when I plugged the device in, nothing happened.. I then went into the tomtom website and logged in...at that point it suggested I download the TomTom home software to my PC. thought it was strange and did not proceed beyond that point.
