|
|
Hi- often I see a camera that requires editing but it is facing perpendicular to the direction I am travelling. The edit option only offers me the choice of my direction, opposite direction or both directions. It would be handy if we could have an option to nominate perpendicular.
Any suggestions how this might be done? |

Do you mean that the cam is actually pointing at right angles to the direction of travel indicated in the database? If this is the case, can you give a few examples of the 'often seen' cams that you come across.
You can use the submission map (the big pointy finger to the right of my post) locate the cam in question then click on it. You will get a popup with the cam number and the heading displayed. Post the cam numbers and the direction of travel that you think they should be. It will be surprising to the database admin if what you say is true, unless the cam is covering a side road at right angles to the road on which you are travelling.
I'm not saying that you are not correct, but a bit more information would be useful to enable the problem to be sorted. |

an example would be when driving through a cross-roads and there's a redlight/redpseed cam for the road you are crossing (as opposed to your current direction/heading).
submitting new camera in cameralert gives the option of 'this side', 'other side' or 'reversible'.
the best way to do it would be to use the voice notes just to say that it's for the perpendicular road.

That's right MaFt.
Tried to leave a note but it automatically opened the voice recorder to a set recording - I need to figure out how to get around that on my HTC - naturally too dangerous when driving to fiddle.
Thanks for the posting the clarification though for the others

yes, that's what it does - it uses the voice recorder to record the note.
how about you tick the option for 'Keep log after upload' and you can then add a voice note to it once you are parked up and it's safer to do so?
settings info is here: http://www.cameralert.com/android-manual/6/
