|
|
Hi Just wondered if anyone had heard of possible replacements for the 1000 or 1005? My 730 needs replacing but there still seems to be limited functionality with the above models and I was hoping for an announcement at IFA?
Thanks in advance |

From what I've read only a 1015 which looks like being a 1005 with the social update (which other 1xxx nits will get foc anyway)
Pity if that's all they ome up with
I'd like a new Grmin 3400 series unit style and feature set with tom-tom hd traffic and tom-tom routing, launched same time in UK and USA not months later
Guess I will have to keep waiting... _________________ TomTom Go Live 6100, 600

From the TomTom website:
"Want to be among the first to discover what’s new from TomTom? Make sure you’re at the 64th IAA International Motor Show 2011 in Frankfurt. Find us in Hall 8/Stand DO4, 13-25 September 2011." |

Thanks for the replies, I guess I'll have to wait until the end of September before I pull the trigger. Its so annoying that Tomtom seem to have lost their way (no pun intended) when it comes to the high end part of the market |

If the proposed new models are dumbed down any further you'll pay £500 & receive a rebadged AA Road atlas with a screen mount |

If it is anything like the new Vias, it will also have a micro SD card slot. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-)

Will the micro SD card be enabled or will that be a "future software upgrade required" feature? _________________ Paul |

I couldn't say, not having seeing the final product.
But I would guess it will be enabled in a future upgrade. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
