|
|
TT have exchange my faulty GO 530 free of charge but it has come with a very old map (v800.1727) which is about 3 years old.
I have tried to update using LMG but it won't let me (probably because I used it on the original devce 6 mths ago)
How else can I update it without paying?
I updated the navcore to 8.351 and tried reloading the map from my last good backup of my original 530, but the map wouldn't work (v855.2884)...perhaps there is some difference in the firmware on this replacement ? |

You'll never (legally) get maps from a different device working. The maps are locked to the unit they were originally intended for.
The only real option is to contact TomTom and ask why they have sent you a unit with such old maps and ask them to credit your on-line account with a newer one.
Whether you want to do that I suppose depends on how much of a favour they did you by giving it to you in the first place! _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Ah ! of course, I'd forgotten that

I have just sent them a new support query asking them to do that, I await their reply

DOH!!!!!!!!
Tom Tom why do you need 2 (or more) attempts to get it right ! |
