Hello,
I have a HTC Desire with Sygic Aura and I'm trying to incorporate my speedcam OV2 database.
I try to translate it in upi as several tutorials explain however it seems that the upi are meant for "normal" POI and not speedcam which are stored in .cam file. Sygic Aura doesn't allow to customize the POI.
Do you know where I can find more informations on how to create cam file for Speedcam?
Many thanks. |

Welcome to the forum, sadly Sygic Aura doesn't currently support third party POI files/ warnings needed for the speed camera integration, shame really as there previous software Mobile Maps worded very well in this area even on an iPhone - Mike |

Sygic have recently released an upgraded version of Aura to the market but I can't tell if it adds custom POI support since it won't even run on my DHD with CM7. |

Aura won't support 3rd party POIs until v3.1
I'm currently beta testing v3.0 for them - this will be the first release where Mobile Maps and Aura merge to become 'Sygic Navigation'

MaFt, do you have any information on when V3.0 will be available please?
At the moment I am using MM10, and will be able to get a free update to Aura allegedly. But my HTC Hero does not support Aura so I don't really want it until June or July when I will be getting a new phone (probably the Desire HD) _________________ Peter

I'm not aware of any dates but I seem to recall they said 'Spring'?
Yes, Aura doesn't work on the Hero but they will be doing one final update for mobile maps for those who can't use Aura.

MaFt, thanks for that. Spring will soon be sprung.
I know they will update MM if need be, but I would prefer to get Aura once I can use it. New technology instead of old I suppose.
And the lack of custom POIs in Aura at the moment is no problem to me because I think I will probably run cameralert in the background with it - at the moment the Hero is not powerful enough to do that with MM10, but the Desire HD should be. _________________ Peter
