Hello.
I have one of these Satnav devices and have seen on sale a SD card with the 2011 Europe maps.
As a newcomer I would welcome advice as to how to instal these maps on to my Satnav.
Any help please.
Thanks. |

If the 205 has an SD Card slot then just insert the card. If not you won't be able to use it as the map will be locked to the card.
Not on eBay by any chance is it? |

Thanks.
Yes, it is on Ebay number 280566932688 from Ontario in Canada.
Do you think that these are reliable - did I note a hint of caution in your reply? |

It might be ok but it might not be. Loads of pirate maps on eBay. Personally I'd be suspect of any maps priced at 69p. Seems too cheap. |

I paid for the 'lifetime' Garmin map updates. More than 69p but still not too bad value for money. However what is not clear is that you must have 5Gb of free disk space on your C drive to download. Having masses elsewhere will not do. So a supposed 10 minute update took a morning as I had to change several disk partitions to get the stuff I had already paid for. I have told Garmin but they already know. Come on Guys the product is great, so tweak the software to make it easier to install. |
